Controversial, insightful, aggravating, humorous, and always thought provoking, here are over three dozen essays and opinions on sexuality in the world today from the outrageous mind of the editor-in-chief of Von Gutenberg, the world's premier fetish magazine, and the creator of the hit blog SexFiles.
Here is what the author says about the book: "Sex in our modern age is faced with an ever-changing technological landscape, the shifting roles of men and women, what our genders are worth in modern day society, and the gnat-like attention span of Xbox-atrophied brains. I'm constantly amazed and often write about how any one of us gets up off the couch long enough to see his or her way clear to a good old fashioned orgasm these days, with or without a partner. In the essays collected here, I've attempted to offer glimpses into what I feel is happening around us presently in the slippery slope-ism of our modern sexual/relating/dating/ landscape."
Included in this one-of-a-kind book are:
Facebook: Our New Social Disease
It's Cool, But Will the iPhone 5 Get You Nookie?
Interview with Violet Ivy
Making Sex High-Tech with the Realtouch
Sex Addiction: Menace or Myth?

What, No Kink?
How Oral Sex is Like Gambling in a Casino

...And two dozen more essays guaranteed to arouse ire and cogitation.
R. Greco is the editor-in-chief for the international fashion latex magazine Von Gutenberg (as well as its online blog writer/editor), sex columnist and reviewer for shortandsweetnyc.com & shortandsweetla.com, and a regular contributor to thingswomenwant.com, Orgasm.com and many others.
Greco is also an internationally published author of short stories (appearing as they have in small press, major market and online around the world as well as in stand-alone author collections), essays, SEO copy for a diverse array of clients including escorts.
As an ASCAP licensed songwriter for over two decades, Greco has written and performed his instrumentals, acoustic-based rock ditties and more up and down the east coast (and some abroad) and he also spends some time on this new fangled Interweb thang all the kids are into as a web-based D.J. and radio show co-host. He also seen his one-act plays produced across the U.S.
Given the above fiddle-dee-dee and folderol, in an attempt to keep his ever-expanding ego in the respectable bounds of his own cranium, R. Greco makes his home in the wilds of suburban New Jersey where he was born/bred and raised just like a fallow young veal. It is in those wild environs, jumping from Quick Checks in search of 1% milk and lottery scratch-offs, that R. coddles the hope that he can keep escaping the tsunami of adoration that would find him if he was humble enough to allow it.
Story Rating: 4 out of 5 paddles
Sting Factor (kink): 3 out of 5
Dating While Intexticated: Sex in the Age of the Internet is a compilation of 36 blogs (all non-fiction). The author’s writing style flows well and is pleasant to read. The blogs themselves range from humorous to thought provoking to insightful with titles that range from "It’s Cool, But Will The iPhone 5 Get You Any Nookie?" to "Yes, Virginia, Here’s Your Porn" to "Do Avatars Dream of Synthetic Dildos?" There is bound to be something for anyone who reads it.
The sting factor is medium because of the content. All of the articles reference sex in one manner or another. While they are not titillating, they are very interesting and thought provoking.
Overall, a very enjoyable and quick read. This book is recommended for anyone who wants to read something with some kink that will also get their brain cells moving.
